Hanging with Allie

Hi everyone! Sorry I'm not able to keep this blog up as much as I'd like, but life is a bit busy with a nearly 2 year old. I guess that doesn't surprise many of you, does it? I'm continually learning that planning ahead is really futile with a little one. But, for some reason.. I keep doing it. This causes me to not get places when I planned to be them, not get chores done as I planned to do them and not get the blog updated or photos printed or organized (no mention of Scrapbooking - for obvious reasons) when I planned. I do, however, find that the most rewarding part of my day is when I sit down to play with Allie or snatch her up to kiss and hug her until she giggles (which doesn't take long, but sometimes I pretend I can't hear so that I can continue). She absolutely LOVES her Signing Time videos, and loves when Tim or I sit down next to her and try to do the signs with her and with her new favorite friends - Rachel, Alex, Leah and Hopkins (the "stars" of the videos).

We captured some videos of her being - well... just being Allie and thought you'd like to see what we are blessed to see and experience daily. Feel free to come visit. I'm sure you will have as much fun with her as we do. She is really getting more vocal and more mobile. Entertaining, exciting and a bit scary (ha ha) all at the same time. She is eager to learn new things and watches everything with what seems to be a lot of intuitiveness. That's a very short and quick update on our little angel. Have a wonderful week and don't get too scared by those spooky Halloween creatures that will roam as the week ends. Stay tuned for Allie and Nicky Costume Pictures, too!

Allie really is eager to walk and loves to practice.

Allie loves her mirror and playing with her signs.
She is playing with some costume pieces.
What will she be for Halloween?

Dear Allie:

We are so proud of you learning to walk! Who is that little girl who you keep trying to kiss and who keeps putting on a hat like yours?
Both videos are great!

Love,

Grandpa & Granma & Shadow too!

Lovell Family,
I was sent your blog from Tammy Toler with the Princeton Times. I'm Debbie Sigmon and my daughter is Kristi. I still have magnets for sale if you are interested. They are $4. You can e-mail me at manddsigmon@frontiernet.net and let me know.
I love your blog and your Allie is beautiful. I would love to talk to you and see what all our daughters have in common other than Down Syndrome.
